two clips for you to watch…

the first is of a performance poet, which is something i absolutely love, and absolutely one of america’s gifts to the world. (if you haven’t been to the nuyorican poets cafe, and you’re in new york, or new york bound, you absolutely must check out their friday nights…). it’s a clip from an event which was held in Seattle in October, called “And God Said, Come On Inside: An Evening of Queerly Spiritual Spoke Word & Storytelling”. (hat-tip to Jewschool.) I really loved this piece, which traverses queerness, jewishness, writing, language, the rabbis, and curly, oh-so-jewish hair…

The other clip is of Jonathan Safran Foer introducing his new book, Eating Animals, (which is out in November), and can be found here. (hat-tip to Tablet magazine).
